How my life has changed since I’m studying Translation and Interpreting…

My life turned around 360 degrees. Last year, I studied and worked at the same time, this year it would be very difficult for me to do it again.

Why would it be difficult for me? Although I’m studying what I really like, I have to admit that it is quite demanding, especially at first, since all the teachers spoke English, and I only understood some words, and rarely, everything they said.

Now what I miss the most is to sleep more and have more time to read. I have more things to do and I have to accomplish them in a short period of time.

The good thing is that now, with these months of study I can understand when they speak English, watch movies without subtitles and understand the most of what they said.

To me, Midterm and Final exams represent…

Well, I know that the Midterm and Final exams are very important for my teachers to evaluate my work, but sincerely, for me it represents a stressful week, when I have to study a lot. I don’t sleep enough, I have to search for a lot of relevant information to the topics to present, I have to study this information and memorize it.

In this week of Midterm or Final exam I’m very nervous and stressed. For this reason in my house nobody can stand me.

When I study the topics for the Midterm or Final exam I can’t always memorize one of those topics or very little of these. So, when I have to present the topics, I feel really sick, and I want to cry before my presentation.

So, how do I do in my presentation? Horrible!!

I love reading so, I love PMLs…

I really love reading, I read all the time, everyday, generally in the afternoon or at midnight.

The fact of that I like reading, doesn’t mean that I love every book, If the topic of the book is boring, I fall asleep.

Generally, I read books that my friends recommend me.

Reading is my hobby since 2009, because before 2009 I only read books for the exams at the school.

I like to buy original books, although in this country the books are very expensive, but I save money anyway and buy one book per month.

I read the books for PMLs but I don’t love PMLs because I don’t know how write in English very well. And it stresses me out.

If I were a Translator and an Interpreter, My life would be…

If I was a translator I would like to join forums translation of books, to begin, and then I would like to translate books in a professional manner.

If I was an Interpreter, I would like to travel and be the interpreter of someone famous or well know I don’t know maybe an actor or a singer.

I think if I had to choose between working interpreting or translating, I think, I would choose to interpret, because I think that translation is more strenuous.

If I find a good job and had a good salary, I’d buy a house with a large library.

I also like to travel to England or elsewhere in Europe, but first I have to work and save a lot of money.

This year has been…

This year has been a crazy year because I have done a lot of things, I mean, I was working when I got into college for this, I had to leave my job, because the timetable of the college didn’t allow me.

Now I depend on my parents economically speaking again, I mean, I have to respect their schedule again, and I have to obey the rules and this makes me feel like a little girl. I hate this.

As everybody knows, I love reading all the time; I can read all day until I finish my book. At the moment I have read around 35 books, although I have not enough time to do it.

This year I could not see my friends as I would like, because there are working and I’m studying. In this moment I really miss them.

I hope that all this effort (not being able to sleep well, study properly, read as much as I used to and see my friends) can be rewarded in the future.
